– the immediate difficulty versus what’s possible or likely later

– what’s known versus what’s not known

-what you are able to do something about versus what is beyond your control

– what needs to be done now versus what will need to be done later

 

Rather than allowing your mind to make stories about the challenging situation, to argue and defend against what is you can focus your attention directly on reality and work with it.
