Tension, anxiety, fear, sadness aren’t problems that can be solved or analysed. They are emotions to be felt. Once you have felt them – acknowledged their existence – and let go of the tendency to explain them, figure them out (What’s wrong? Why do I feel this? What does it mean? What does it say about me? I shouldn’t be feeling this.) get rid of them, they are much more likely to vanish naturally. Feelings and emotions need to be met with compassion and empathy. There is nothing we need to do about our feelings.
